These terms and conditions apply to the use of the website www.voorganger.be and to all services provided by Bart Andries – Ceremony Leader & Funeral Officiant, based in Nieuwpoort, Belgium. By using this website or booking a service, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

Bart Andries offers the following services, among others:

• Writing and/or delivering a personalised life story

• Leading and structuring funeral ceremonies

• Assisting with the writing of personal tributes or speeches

• Guiding bilingual or French-language ceremonies

All services are provided with the utmost care and in close consultation with the family or client.

2. Fees and Payment

• All prices are agreed upon in advance and are exclusive of VAT (21%) and travel expenses (from Nieuwpoort).

• The standard hourly rate - unless otherwise specified.

• Invoices are payable within 14 calendar days from the date of issue.

• In the event of late payment, a reminder may be sent and administrative fees may apply.

3. Cancellation

• If the client cancels less than 48 hours before the scheduled ceremony, a flat fee may be charged for time already spent on preparation.

• In case of force majeure (e.g. illness, death, extreme weather), a suitable solution will be sought together with the client.

4. Liability

• Bart Andries is not liable for technical issues on-site (e.g. sound system, projector, livestream), unless he was explicitly tasked with their coordination.

• The client is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided (e.g. names, dates, family details).

• Bart Andries is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the client.

5. Copyright

• All texts, speeches, and ceremony formats written by Bart Andries are protected by copyright.

• They may not be copied, redistributed, or reused in other contexts without prior written consent.

• The client is, of course, allowed to share the speech within the family or use it during the ceremony.

6. Data protection

• Personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy available on this website and the applicable GDPR regulations.

• Data is only used for administrative purposes or to carry out the agreed service.

7. Use of the website

• All content on this website is for informational purposes only and may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.

• While every effort is made to keep the content accurate and the site functional, Bart Andries cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access.

8. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. In case of disputes, only the courts of the judicial district of West Flanders are competent.
