Designing a farewell requires time, attention and sincere involvement.

 

In order to be transparent about my working methods and the associated costs, I provide an overview below of the possible assignments and what you can expect from me.

 

Full support for the funeral ceremony

 

When I conduct a complete funeral ceremony, including writing and speaking the life story, I calculate an average of 9 hours of work.

 

This includes:

• an extensive introductory and intake interview with the family of approximately 2 hours

• writing the life story and preparing all texts and rituals (about 3 hours)

• my presence on the day of the ceremony itself: I am always present 2 hours in advance, the ceremony itself lasts about 1 hour, and afterwards I provide another hour for rounding off or receiving the family.

 

 

Help with writing a personal text

 

Do you, as a surviving relative, want to say something during the service, but you don't know how to start or are you looking for support with writing?

Then I'll be happy to help you on your way.

This can be done through a personal conversation or by email.

I work for this on an hourly rate, depending on the duration and intensity of the support.

 

Additional information

 

• Every funeral is unique.

• That is why I work tailor-made, based on your wishes, the content of the ceremony and the time needed to carefully prepare and supervise everything.

• During our first contact I would like to provide clarity about the practical arrangements and the associated costs, in a transparent and human way. This way you know exactly what to expect - without surprises afterwards.

• I work on an hourly rate.

• For travel I charge a mileage allowance of €0.45 per kilometer, calculated from my point of departure in Nieuwpoort.

• Included in the rate are always: tuning the music, any prints of texts, preparation of symbolic rituals and technical coordination if necessary.

• All amounts are exclusive of 21% VAT.
